Arriving & Here. 

Arriving was a seven year creative project working with people seeking sanctuary in the North East of England. It started with me hanging out at refugee support organisations, conversation groups, meeting people and inviting them to come and see some theatre together. It grew from a small group to over100 people attending each year. We met every fortnight to explore different creative practice, to cook and eat together and we began to co-create work together including: movement, theatre, flash mob, film, parties, yoga retreats. We also set up a seperate women's group and a smaller writing/performance group for those who wanted to make their own work.
